Abstract: In this paper, we propose DNS over CoAP (DoC). DoC provides the opportunity to enable confidential exchange of DNS messages in the Internet of Things (IoT) but introduces challenging research questions regarding the protocol design before we can unfold its full potential. We propose a research agenda to answer these questions in future work.
