Cashing out the Great Cannon? On Browser-Based DDoS Attacks and Economics

has been accepted for presentation at the prestigious USENIX Security WOOT event. In this joint work with Saarland University and Freie Universität Berlin, we analyse Browser-based attack mechanism related to the Great Cannon of China - a major DDoS attack against GitHub that was discovered in April 2015.
