Yue Xin: Exploring IP Address Characteristics

Through the analysis of router behavioral characteristics, network interactions, and topological patterns, we aim to develop a methodology that accurately maps IP addresses to routers. We emphasize innovative approaches in feature extraction from network data to create a predictive model for IP-to-router mapping. Additionally, this work introduces an enhanced DBSCAN algorithm tailored for this application scenario. Despite the inherent challenges in achieving absolute accuracy, our adaptive methodology acknowledges
uncertainties in network data analysis while focusing on capturing relevant behavioral attributes. By leveraging unsupervised clustering algorithms, we categorize nodes based on behavioral similarities, which enhances our understanding of network structure and facilitates more accurate IP-to-router mapping.
